Portland Christian High School's Drama department knocked the socks off of audiences April 26th-29th in this year's spring musical, Anne of Green Gables: The New Musical By Janet Yates Vogt & Mark Friedman. Based on the beloved childhood classic by L.M. Montgomery, the story follows the adventures and accidents of Anne Shirley after she is adopted by Matthew and Marilla Cuthbert. Anne was played by Senior Sami Ruiz, whose strong vocal lead anchored the show. Senior Won Dan Choi played Marilla, and junior Joshua Keaney played Matthew, with a multitude of talented PCS students filling the remaining roles.
The musical was directed by Lisa Closner, PC's drama teacher.
