At Portland Christian, athletics is an extension of our mission to develop students who honor God in every area of life. Our program cultivates Christ-centered character, teamwork, and excellence—helping students grow spiritually, academically, and athletically.
We offer a wide range of opportunities for students in grades 1–12, including elementary, middle school, junior varsity, and varsity teams. As members of CYO and OSAA, our athletes compete with integrity at every level.
We believe competition plays an important role in shaping mature, resilient Christian leaders. Student-athletes are challenged to demonstrate Christ-like character on and off the field, while being coached and mentored by leaders who care deeply about both performance and personal growth.
Portland Christian Athletics is committed to:
- A safe, engaging, and supportive environment
- Clear and timely communication
- Dynamic, Christ-centered coaching
- Positive recognition of student-athletes
- Quality facilities, equipment, and competitive opportunities
Our Royals compete in volleyball, soccer, cross country, basketball, track and field, golf, baseball, and softball—building a tradition of excellence with over 100 league championships and multiple state titles.
Summer Programs have begun with Basketball Camp today. Nearly 100 students between 1st and 9th grade were here at the San Rafael campus, between the two gyms. Players warmed up with shooting hoops and will learn technical skills, including ball-handling and fundamentals. The camp is run by the PC Varsity coaching staff and team players. What a great opportunity for our students as the basketball program is very important to PC. Go Royals!!
Summer Programs are underway! Today marked the start of Basketball Camp, with nearly 100 students from 1st through 9th grade filling both gyms at our San Rafael campus.
Campers kicked off the day by warming up their shooting skills and will spend the week developing ball-handling techniques, fundamentals, and game knowledge. Led by our PC Varsity coaching staff and team players, this camp provides an outstanding opportunity for young athletes to learn from experienced coaches and mentors.
Basketball has long been an important part of the PC community, and it`s exciting to see the next generation of Royals hard at work improving their skills this summer.

What an incredible milestone! Finley Marine is heading to Corban University, where she’ll continue her academic and athletic career as a member of the Warriors beach volleyball team.
Finley poured her heart into Portland Christian volleyball year after year, and her dedication paid off in a big way as a four year varsity starter — highlighted by a state championship in 2023. She also earned 1st and 2nd Team All-League and All-State honors throughout her high school career at PC, a reflection of the consistent excellence she brought to the court. And her athleticism didn’t stop there — Finley contributed to the girls track and field team helping PCS earn valuable points to win the NWL Championship this year. That kind of versatility and team-first mentality says everything about who she is as an athlete. Corban is gaining a gem, and we can’t wait to watch Finley thrive at the next level.
Congratulations, Finley — PC is proud of you!

It’s with immense pride that we announce Ethan Larner has signed with Rocky Mountain College in Billings, Montana, where he’ll continue both his academic and athletic career as a member of the Battlin’ Bears basketball team!
Ethan’s impact on Portland Christian basketball has been nothing short of remarkable. He was part of a stunning state-wide best 84-6 record over the last three years, a testament to the culture and commitment he helped build. A multi-year All-League and All-State honoree, Ethan capped his senior season by earning Defensive Player of the Year — proving his excellence on both ends of the floor. To top it all off, he joined the 1,000-point club during his senior year. His hard work and dedication have led him to this next chapter, and we know he’ll bring that same winning mentality to Rocky Mountain College.
Congratulations, Ethan! PC is proud of you!
