The U.S. women’s volleyball team has added Bronze to their list of consecutive Olympic medal finishes! They won silver in Beijing 2008, and London 2012, but despite a heartbreaking, and completely unexpected loss to Serbia in the semifinals, they recovered and refocused quickly to bring home a Bronze from Rio. Our very own Kim Hill had a strong hand – literally – in their success, with 19 points (13 kills on 34 attacks), four aces, and two blocks in the final match against another surprisingly tough Netherlands team. “We have this fighter attitude that no one can get us down.” Hill said. “I was so proud of how we battled back. Just one point at a time; that’s what we kept saying, ‘just one point at a time.’”
Go Royals!! Go USA!!
