Middle School Courses

“In every class, my teachers made a point of focusing on God. Whether it’s God’s power in math, or the human condition and need for a Savior in literature, God was revealed in my studies.”

— Class of 2019 Alumnus

Middle school classes at PCS are designed with purpose and taught intentionally to lay a crucial foundation for what will be added on in high school. The skills and knowledge students acquire in middle school are essential for their success in high school courses.

Middle school students are allowed to progress at a pace that is fitting to their ability in their math class. Students may take high school level math and other courses early if this matches their aptitude.

The core subjects covered are Bible, English, Math, Science, Social Studies, and Physical Education.

Each fall, our sixth-grade students and teachers embark on an exciting adventure at Outdoor School, where they spend four days and three nights immersed in nature and hands-on learning. This unique experience combines educational activities across various subjects, including science, math, history, art, and language.

Our elective course offerings help ready our middle school students for the college and career preparation of high school.  Electives do not provide in-depth coverage of a single subject matter, but are designed as exploratory classes to gain “hands-on” experience.

Electives options include: Spanish, Gardening, Drama, Band, Choir, Visual Arts, Media and Digital Arts, and Yearbook.

Our Middle School Electives Catalog gives a more in-depth look at course offerings.
