High School Extra-Curriculars

A PCS education focuses on developing the whole student—encouraging creativity, cultivating talent, and building a strong community.  Approximately 85% of our high school students participate in extracurricular activities.

Our typical offerings include:

  • A variety of Fine Arts options:
    • Art Showcase every spring
    • Band and Choir – Christmas and spring concert performances
    • Vocal Ensemble
    • Drama production every fall with students in cast roles as well as assisting in backstage crew roles
    • Musical production every spring with students in cast roles as well as assisting in backstage crew roles
    • Thespian Club
    • National Art Honor Society

  • STUCO (student council/ government):  students are elected by the student body, learn about what it takes to be a strong Christian servant-leader. STUCO coordinates memorable events for students throughout the year, including Powder Puff (girl’s football tournament), Power Tuff (boy’s volleyball tournament), dances, formal and casual events like homecoming and prom, and school spirit weeks
  • Sports
    • Fall: soccer (boys and girls), volleyball, cross country
    • Winter:  basketball (boys and girls), cheer
    • Spring: baseball, softball, golf, and track & field
  • Educational and mission travel experiences, including international trips
  • Ski Club at Mt. Hood Meadows on Friday nights in January and February

*National Honor Society and Math Honor Society members must complete a minimum of 20 hours of community service each year
