2025-26 OCF-Weston Scholarship

This scholarship is made possible by a generous grant from the Joseph E. Weston Foundation through the Oregon Community Foundation (OCF).

The scholarship is open to:

  • students who will be entering the 6th, 7th, or 9th grade in the fall of 2025
  • transfer students (6th – 12th grades) from a public school
  • PCS 2024 recipients (Check with the PCS Business Office for your eligibility to apply for a renewal)

The completed application and all additional required documents must be received by PCS no later than 5:00 PM on January 10, 2025. Contact the PCS Business Office if you have any questions about your submitted application.

Requirements for application:

  1. Submission of the completed online application form (see below).
  2. FACTS Grant & Aid Application. Please submit your FACTS Grant & Aid Application as soon as possible. FACTS can take a week or two to process your information.

  3. Read the “Parameters for Portland Christian Schools Scholarships“.
  4. Student essay (upload below). There is no expectation of a minimum or maximum length for the essay.
  5. Parent/guardian essay (upload below). There is no expectation of a minimum or maximum length for your response.

Student: DO NOT include your name or other personally identifying information in your essay. The application will be assigned a number when it is received by the PCS Business Office and will be separated from personally identifying information before being forwarded to the selection committee.

  1. Explain why you would like to attend (or continue attending) Portland Christian School.
  2. What is a meaningful experience, class, or teacher you’ve had in school?
  3. How has it affected you personally?
  4. If applicable, how did it affect your faith?
  5. What do you hope to do or experience in the coming school year?

I understand that scholarship funds will be applied toward the student’s tuition only upon the condition that the student is enrolled in Portland Christian Schools through the school’s regular admissions process; 2. I understand that scholarship funds will be allocated over the course of the selected payment plan. If the student’s attendance terminates during the school year, the scholarship funds will be pro-rated for the time attended; 3. I agree that the student will write a thank you letter to Mr. Joseph E. Weston (c/o PCS) within two weeks of receiving notice of the award. I understand that the award will be applied toward the student’s tuition only after the thank you letter has been received by the PCS Business Office.
