Portland Christian’s Preschool Program (ECE) is designed to meet your child’s current needs while preparing them for kindergarten. We provide a safe, loving environment where young students can grow intellectually, developmentally, socially, and spiritually.

The learning environment at Portland Christian Preschool
PLay-based
Young children learn best through play, and our classrooms are set up for students to learn through exploration led by a nurturing teacher. Every activity is designed to teach a specific skill within the context of what children do best – play.

Our teachers are dedicated to supporting each child’s growth by setting personalized goals and adapting experiences to meet individual needs. Through ongoing observations, assessments, and parent-teacher conferences, we ensure that every child receives the attention and guidance they need to thrive.

Even our youngest students participate in Bible class and daily prayer. Preschool students also attend chapel once a month with our elementary students. All areas of instruction are approached through a biblical worldview.

PCS follows modern safety practices, such as a fenced campus, cameras, buzzer entry, and background checks. We require all staff and volunteers to complete adult-youth contact training, and our teachers and administrators take equity training to ensure we’re serving people of all races and ethnicities in an honoring and loving way.
